The problem

Educational opportunity in Indonesia is badly distributed, and a surprising amount of that is simply an information problem. Competitions are announced across scattered posters, group chats, and institutional pages. If you are not already in the right circle, you never hear about them. Then the organisers run the whole thing through spreadsheets and email.

Discovery is the part people underestimate. A competition you never heard of is, functionally, a competition that was not open to you.

Olympiads, run properly

The platform hosts timed olympiads: rounds open and close on a schedule, every participant sits the same clock, and the results settle themselves. A live leaderboard tracks standings as the round runs, so competitors and organisers can both see where things stand rather than waiting weeks for a spreadsheet to be reconciled.

Integrity

A timed online competition is only worth entering if it is fair, and the moment a contest carries real stakes, someone will try to cheat. Terang Events includes proctoring built for exactly that: it watches for the behaviour that gives cheating away during a live round, and surfaces it to the organiser instead of letting it quietly decide the result.

Without that, an online olympiad is not a competition. It is a formality that rewards whoever is willing to cheat hardest.

AI review

Judging is the bottleneck that quietly caps how many people an organiser can let in. Submissions pile up, reviewers volunteer their evenings, and results take weeks. AI-assisted review carries the first pass, so human judges spend their attention where judgement actually matters.

The whole lifecycle

Participants discover events, register, sit the round, submit their work, track the status of their reviews, and receive certificates. Organisers run submissions, judging, proctoring, and certification without assembling a workflow out of spreadsheets every time.
