Terang AI in 2025: A Year of Real Impact

A look back at 2025: free AI learning delivered to 374+ students in Indonesia's frontier regions, a 100% scholarship passing rate, an award at the BRICS Industrial Innovation Contest, and our first enterprise partnerships.

Access

More than 374 learners from the 3T regions received free access to Terang AI's exam preparation and interview simulation. That is over Rp 68 million in educational services, given away to the students least able to buy them.

Results

Across partner cohorts with Beasiswa Timur × PPI Wageningen and Forum Akademia NTT, learners reached a 100% TBS passing rate and produced seven LPDP scholarship awardees.

Recognition

Terang AI was recognised at the BRICS Industrial Innovation Contest 2025 with an Excellence Award, and registered two of its core platforms as copyrighted computer programs with Indonesia's Directorate General of Intellectual Property.

Sustainability

2025 was also the year the commercial side arrived: the first enterprise partnerships, including the national accredited-training platform for the Ikatan Arsitek Indonesia, and a one-year client partnership with PT Gempita Atma Indonesia. Terang AI reached roughly 10,000 users across Terang AI and Terang Events, and three B2B clients.

What actually stayed with me

None of the numbers above. What stayed with me was a recording I listened to while debugging the interview feature. A rooster crowing somewhere in the background of a village morning, and a young woman practising for her LPDP interview, speaking like she had nothing to lose.

That is the entire thesis. She was never short of ability. She was short of a way in.
